Drill rig Delmag RH18/200 converted to short mast version (low head)

For the construction site of our customer Eurovia in Bottrop, the masts on our Delmag RH18/200 rotary drilling rig were shortened by our fitters. After removing an intermediate mast section, changing to shorter ropes and using a shorter kelly bar, the mast of the machine had a height of 12.5m, which made it possible to use the machine even where height restrictions were an issue. This had become necessary because the construction site was one of Deutsche Bahn AG and had to be completed within a tight schedule due to a required closure of the line.
The bored piles to be produced with a diameter of 1000mm had a length of approx. 12m.
