FDS wins rental contract in New York City

At the beginning of the year, our Toronto-based sister company FDS Foundation Drilling Services received an order from Case Foundation (Keller Group) in New York for the rental of 100m of 1180mm diameter drill pipes. Case Foundation built an overlapping pile wall for the new Disney Corporation headquarters. The construction project comprises a complete city block in the heart of Manhattan. For this purpose, 5 large rotary drilling rigs were in operation at peak times. A two-month rental period was envisaged initially. The Corona crisis, which hit New York particularly hard, caused delays in the construction schedule. FDS worked out a cooperative solution with the customer and made the pipes available until the summer.
