Many of you will recognize this sentence, and you will hear it countless times over the next few days...

…then come to the Ore Mountains and follow us in the footsteps of this year’s Christmas excursion. On the Saturday before the first Sunday of Advent, we took the historic steam railway from Cranzahl to Oberwiesenthal, the highest town in Germany.
In the engine shed and maintenance shop there, we were given interesting insights into the maintenance and restoration of the almost 100-year-old steam locomotives, which were manufactured in Chemnitz or Berlin. In the so-called Christmas Land of the Ore Mountains, there are still some of these narrow-gauge steam lines. We found the ride on one of these historic trains to be a true experience of deceleration and balm for the soul.
Since we all – and after an eventful year, you’re probably no different – could use some rest and relaxation right now, we say thank you and wish you a Merry Christmas and joyful times with your loved ones and friends.
May you have a healthy and happy new year!
Best regards, your BWH team from Hainichen
